We established Doormatic Garage Doors with the idea of Automating existing Garage Doors in June 2000. We soon realised that a big percentage of the existing Garage Doors were not suitable to be Automated and so by mid 2001 we were supplying and fitting new Garage Doors as well as Automating them.
We set up our web site in 2003 and this proved to be very successful, very quickly we had more business than we could manage and so we employed our first full time team of Garage Door installers.
By 2006 we were direct suppliers with some of the major manufacturers, Cardale, Seceuroglide, Novoferm. We were also fast growing out of our premises and decided to open a show room. Our primary supplier ,Cardale, has a gold standard of distributors which we decided to aim for. The quality of our work was way above the standard they required so all we need was a show room displaying their main products and to join the AGDS, the garage door association, which we did, and by 2007 we were awarded Cardale Gold Distributor status.
2007 and 2008 were exceptional years for us and by the end of 2008 we had 3 teams of installers and had pushed our turnover to around £1 000 000 with annual growth of about 20% year on year.

Our business was started as an automation business and we have stayed true to that philosophy, Garage Doors should be automated! It does not cost a lot to put a motor on a Garage Door but adds greatly to the pleasure of using the Door.

Doormatic Price Commitment: We are not always the cheapest but our pricing is always very competitive and transparent, we use the manufacturers recommended retail price, depending on the product there are some discounts available and we charge a fitting fee and VAT.
